PTSD Infographics

Many soldiers who have returned and reunited with their family and friends from their deployments have experienced traumas during military life. Some experience combat without having stress reactions, but others have experienced life-threatening events and are still coping after the experience. The soldiers and veterans who relive these traumatic events may be diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

I researched the problems and solutions for soldiers who are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through several online sources. From these I gathered several statistics of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder by researching the causes, the symptoms, and the best course of action to take to prevent the disorder. The graphic models I designed reflect the findings of the research. These express the statistics of soldiers/veterans who were diagnosed in the previous wars, the causes of PTSD, treatment options, and a timeline that shows the discovery of war traumas throughout history. With the focus on PTSD, I designed a website layout for a nonprofit foundation, About Face, for soldiers and veterans and the general public to learn more about the PTSD.
